An engineer visits to survey and quote

Installing your panels
Our own engineers install your panels, inverter and any battery you’ve chosen. We’re MCS and NAPIT registered.

Paperwork, then the long run
Your MCS certificate and the DNO notification are sorted, and we’re the same team you can call for servicing and repairs.

How much does solar PV cost?
It depends on the roof, the system size and what the electrics need, so we don’t publish a price list. After a survey you get a clear written quote with the price, before any work starts. VAT on solar and battery installations is 0% until March 2027. If you are in Wales, see our guide to solar panel grants in Wales.
Do L&R Renewables complete a survey before an installation?
Yes. One of our engineers visits your home to survey it and give you a quote, so your system is designed around your home before any installation is booked.
Who carries out the work?
All installations and repairs are carried out in-house by our own engineers — we don’t subcontract. L&R Renewables is MCS and NAPIT registered and TrustMark approved, and we work on any installer’s system, not just our own.
Can I add a battery later?
Yes. We add batteries to existing solar systems, whoever installed them. An engineer visits to survey and quote, and you get a clear written quote before any work starts. See solar battery storage.
